Credit Cards Help Make Money With The Internet
People in this world deal with their money in a lot of different ways, some of which are much more financially profitable and effective than others. Some people like to take the money that they earn and shove it under a mattress, while others intelligently take the money and invest it into strong financial endeavors. Money is an important thing to have in the world today, and everyone is trying to come up with new ways of regulating how it is used.
With the creation of the Internet, people have started to come up with new and faster ways of making money. These increases in money have caused several online business owners to reconsider how they should handle their finances and also how to make necessary purchases that will continue to benefit their financial status. One of the best ways to handle your money and also regulate how much you are spending is with the use of credit cards, which may seem quite untrue to many people.
It is true that many people suffer from the consequences of bad choices when it comes to credit cards, but that is because they did make bad choices. Credit cards do not cause people to go into a large amount of debt, but rather how people use the credit cards is what causes such financial burdens and tragedies. If you can discipline yourself and use credit cards wisely, then you will be able to effectively regulate your financial affairs and also make more money with the Internet.
Online Purchasing
The Internet has turned into a huge world where people buy, sell, and trade different products and service in order to earn money. In this online world, you cannot simply mail people cash in exchange for what you want to buy. That is why credit cards are so effective in this situation because they allow you to purchase things that you need to buy without having the necessary cash or going through an unsafe and long process.
Convenient And Fast
Credit cards provide a quick way for you to make purchases without the hassle of carrying around a huge wad of cash all the time. It has become much more safe and secure for people to carry around a credit card, and the transaction process of purchasing a product literally only takes a few seconds. They can be carried around in your wallet or purse without any detection and will save you if you do fail to have actual cash on you.
Rewards And Privileges
Using credit cards can really help you to earn money because many of them include special promotions and rewards for the amount times that you use them. The more that you actually use a credit card to purchase different things, the more prizes and even actual money that you will be able to earn. In the long run, credit cards can greatly increase your finances and especially help you to make money with the Internet.

How Can I Figure Out My Conversion Rate?
Just what is conversion and how can it help your bottom line? Wikipedia defines conversion as the transformation of one thing into another.
Website conversion can be defined in the same way. The transformation of a website visitor to a customer, or simply put - a shopper into a buyer.
Is your website converting your visitors to customers?
You may be thinking, "I don't sell anything on my website, so I don't pay attention to conversion." In my opinion, you should. Whether you are selling something, or just using your website as an online brochure for your business, conversion matters.
In today's society, most people are out searching on the Internet first before going into a store or business. They want to see what's out there. They shop online. While some people aren't yet comfortable making an online purchase, they may still come to your site first to see what you have to offer before coming into your physical location or making that first call.
How can you measure conversion rates? One important method is to install analytics on your website. You need to track the visitors coming to your site to see where they came from and where they are going.
If you have an ecommerce website, when setting up your analytics to measure conversion, you'll want to create a "sales funnel" (more on that in a future post) with a final goal page that will validate that you have made your sale.
You can set up your sales funnel to have your "thank you" page, (the one that comes up after a sale has been completed) as your final goal. That way you can track how many of your visitors reached the final goal page (the verification) of a purchase.
To figure out your conversion rate, you'll take the number of sales and divide it by the number of visitors. For instance, if you have 4 sales and 75 visits, you know that your conversion rate is .05%. 4/75 = the percentage of your visitors who converted to sales. Obviously, you're going to want to have a higher percentage than my example :)
Once you know your conversion rate, you can gauge whether or not you are doing better converting your visitors to buyers with your new pricing, new landing page, etc.
You can also measure conversion rates for your online brochure site. If your ultimate goal is to have the potential client contact you once they have had a chance to review your services, you can create your funnel using your "Contact" page as the final goal. Another option would be to get them to sign up for your newsletter and leave their email address. Many business owners have their websites as a means to create leads. By capturing their visitors email addresses, they then have targeted leads that are interested in the product or service they have to offer.
Once you begin tracking your conversion rates, you can then begin A/B testing to increase your conversion. Only when you have a benchmark to begin with, can you measure whether your site changes or improvements are helping or hurting your bottom line.
I recommend every website owner keep track of visitors and conversion rates via analytics. The best part is, it's easy to do!

Advice for Advanced Podcasters - How to Sell Your Podcasting Skills for Profit
Podcasters are realizing that there are certain aspects of producing a podcast that they enjoy and others that they completely hate. In fact, many have started to sell their skills not as podcasters, but as experts in skills that are related to podcasting.
Finding opportunities can take a bit of work, however, they do exist. Some podcasters get podcasting projects through word of mouth and from existing clients. If you don't currently have clients, here are some ways to tell others that your podcasting skills are for hire so you can make money based on what you already know.
- Podcasting Directories - Some will have a section for people looking for podcasting work and those offering it.
- Search Engines - Type in the keyword podcast jobs or podcasting job in your favorite search engine and visit the websites that pop up in the search results. Chances are, you will find a website where you can list yourself as a contractor for hire.
- Freelance Websites - Guru.com, eLance.com and even Craigslist.org are great websites to use to post information about you and your podcasting skills.
- Skill Specific Job Boards - For voice over artists, you can create a profile at voices.com or voices123.com and wait for the opportunities to come to you.
- Launch a Blog or Podcast - I found a transcription company using this method. It can be quite effective, especially if you use it to dole out advice on how individuals and companies can use your podcasting skill in their day-to-day lives.
- Attend Events and Network - If you want to work with podcasters, you have to go where podcasters are. Attending podcasting events and handing out business cards is an excellent way to raise your profile.
- Cold Calling - I know, this is the most dreaded way to find new clients, however, it can be effective if done right. Put together a list of companies who offer podcasting services and call them to see if they could use your services.
- Informational Meetings - Send an email to a podcaster who lives close to you or who will be attending the same event you'll be at and request to meet over coffee. Use the meeting to find out more about what podcasters need, rather than use it to talk endlessly about yourself. And don't forget to pay for his or her coffee.

Pre-Conception - An Interrogation Assassin
There can be many ways and reasons an interrogation can fail.
Among the many possible scenarios, we can fail to get a
confession, we may get a false confession, or the subject just may
plain flat refuse to talk or cooperate in any form. One of the most
deadly enemies of a successful interview or interrogation is the
'pre-conception assassin.' Let's look at three tactics the 'pre-
conception assassin' can use to kill your interview or
interrogation.
One tactic employed by the pre-conception assassin is to
convince the interviewer that the subject will be totally credible and
has absolutely no intention of being misleading or deceptive. This
is an easy kill. The assassin gets the interviewer to just simply
ignore any and all signs of possible stress response to any
questions and ultimately any lie signs. If you can't see the signs
then any negative perceptions about the person's honesty just
simply go away. Just cover your brain with the magic sheet and
the scary deception monster goes away because if you can't see
it, it just doesn't exist.
The second tactic our assassin employs is to turn the interviewer
into a raving paranoid. This requires the interviewer to assume
the mind set that everyone is guilty of something, he just hasn't
figured out yet of what crime. Now the interviewer has to identify
symptoms of evasion and deception that don't exist but every
movement and every answer has some hidden nefarious
meaning. The interviewer is convinced the subject has got to be
lying he just has to get the subject to believe the same thing and
confess.
Finally, our pre-conception assassin has to the interviewer's
control question formulation and presentation. The interviewer
should never ask a question whose answer may contradict his
preconceived beliefs. Ignorance will truly be bliss. Only ask those
questions that further support your conclusions and don't give up
until you get the answer you want. Truth is not really your objective
in either case - just get a confession or exonerate the subject at
any and all costs. These are the interviewers who proclaim they
have a 100% percent confession rate or a 100% cleared case
rate.
Look at your mind set before you enter the interview room. Are
you an accomplice to the 'pre-conception assassin?' Is your
ultimate objective for any interview and interrogation finding the
truth no matter how disturbing, disappointing, or unpopular that
may be? When we stop searching for the truth, we've stopped
serving justice.

5 Tips for Increasing Your Level of Safety and Self-Defense in These Uncertain Times
Everywhere it seems, people share their concerns about "what the world has come to." With battles raging both across the sea in far-off lands and here on our own streets, it seems that more and more people are looking to the government to make them more safe and secure.
This, however, is the wrong place to be looking. As harsh as it sounds, when it comes to self-defense and so-called "homeland security," the responsibility for personal security and safety rests with the individual - not with the government.
While we, as citizens, can do little more than show our support for the thousands of troops fighting our country's many battles around the world, each of us can take a more proactive role in dealing with the hostilities and assaults that are going on all around us right here at home.
Here's a list of 5 tips for anyone who wants to make themselves more safe and secure, regardless of whether they're traveling or staying at home. This list is part of the "10 Tips for Increasing Your Level of Safety and Self-Defense", available from Warrior Concepts International's website.
Tips for Increasing Your Ability to Survive Danger
1. Acknowledge that danger exists in your world and has the potential of touching you or someone that you care about. Ignorance, when it comes to avoiding and escaping from danger, is not bliss.
2. Stay informed about the types of dangers, including criminal activity, prevalent in areas where you find yourself. Knowing what you're most likely to face is the first step to being able to handle it should it happen.
3. Establish multiple routes to and from the places you frequent most. As a minimum, everyone should have at least two routes to and from home and work. This makes it more difficult for you to be pinned down by someone who knows your routine.
4. Acknowledge that it's your responsibility, not that of the police, to keep yourself safe. As a former police officer I know that the police cannot keep you safe from anyone who truly wants to harm you. Realize that you, and you alone, will be the first one "on the scene" of the assault or other danger and responsible for dealing with the attack.
5. Learn a few tactics for effectively avoiding or escaping from danger that do not require physically fighting with your assailant. There are some very good books and videos available, like "Danger Prevention Tactics: Protecting Yourself Like a Pro," that can provide professional advice you can use to keep yourself more safe and secure.
In Today's often violent world, self-defense is no longer a choice - it's a responsibility. Accepting the reality that, with the addition of terrorism to the ever-present threat of gang activity, drug wars, and the myriad of other crimes of violence, it's each person's responsibility to be personally capable of defending themselves should that need arise.

What To Expect When You Test A Niche With Web 2.0 Platforms
I regularly use Web 2.0 platforms to test my niche ideas.
I'll have three or so new ideas for niches, and build a quick site with Squidoo or Hubpages to test the ideas with.
What I'm interested in is how much traffic do the sites get and also how well does that traffic convert into buyers. To find out the sales conversion part, I'll choose a product from Clickbank or Amazon, whichever makes more sense.
The amount of traffic your lenses or Hubpages will get is going to vary all over the place. After all, getting a feel for traffic is part of the experiment! If you can't get traffic to your site, you will want to either choose another keyword phrase in that same niche and test it, or just abandon the niche altogether.
Ideally, what we want is traffic that leads to three or four sales. More sales is better, but that doesn't always happen with Squidoo lenses.
Number of sales divided by the amount of traffic (sales/traffic) is called your conversion rate. (Usually this is turned into a percentage. That's sales/traffic times 100.)
So, what kind of a conversion rate should you expect?
If you're not currently involved in internet marketing, it will be probably much lower than you might think. A conversion rate of 1% to 2% is actually very good! But, let me clue you in on a little secret!
You can make money on any conversion rate, if you're not paying for your traffic! If you're doing your keyword research like you should and if you set up the marketing for your test site correctly, then you will get traffic and some of that traffic will convert to sales!
What I'm looking for with these little Squidoo type experiments is a conversion rate of 1/200, or 0.5%. If I can get just one out of two hundred visitors to buy something, then that's a project I'll go with. Of course, a higher conversion rate is better, and there are ways to increase your conversion rate dramatically, but that's an advanced topic suitable for another article.
So, to sum this up, out of every 200 visitors, you should be making one sale. If you can do that, then you're on the track to success. If you're site is not doing that, then you need to decide to tweak what you're doing or just ditch the project.
